General

We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. The onus is on you to check the terms and conditions on each occasion you use the website. Use of the website shall signify your acceptance to be bound by the current terms and conditions at the time of purchase.

Information that you provide to us through this website must be accurate and complete. We reserve the right to withdraw password details without notification. Passwords must be exclusive to you and non-transferable. Your logon details must be treated as strictly confidential at all times. If you have any reason to be concerned about the security of your password details or become aware of any misuse then you must inform us immediately.

Making a Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Credit and Debit Card Payment

If, for any reason we are unable to supply the ordered goods, we will contact you as soon as possible. If we are unable to offer a suitable alternative then we will ensure that the card transaction will be cancelled.

If we have taken payment for goods prior to despatch and those goods then become unavailable, we will provide the option of an immediate refund.

We make checks to help ensure that your payment card is not being used without your consent. These will include validating the name, address and other information supplied by you during the order process. In order to carry out these checks we use third party databases.

Payment can be made using any card listed on our How to Order page.

Account customers

If you are an account customer, payment shall be made in full at the end of the month following the date of invoice. We may revoke credit if you fail to make payment when due. If payment is not made when due, interest is payable at the rate of 3% over HSBC's prevailing base rate on the amount outstanding from the due date of payment until receipt by us of the full amount (including any accrued interest), whether before or after judgement, together with any reasonable legal or other recovery costs.

We may suspend further supply or delivery, or terminate our contract if you are in breach of an obligation hereunder or you become unable to pay your debts when they fall due.

Shipping and Handling

A list of current shipping charges (and areas that we deliver to) can be found on our Delivery page.

Where the goods ordered are of an exceptional weight or size or we are unable to ship the goods economically and within the shipping price paid by the customer, we reserve the right to apply an additional charge. In such circumstances the customer will be notified in advance and the goods will not be shipped without the customers agreement to the additional charge.

If monies have been taken at the time of the order, a full refund will be made where the customer does not accept the additional charge.

Delivery Schedule

We will process your order right away. We will normally despatch your order to you in 1 to 2 business days of receipt. Certain items including thermometers that require calibration tests before will take longer to process.

We will make every effort to ensure goods are delivered in accordance with estimated timescales. However, once the goods have been despatched by us, they are outside of our direct control. We therefore cannot be held responsible for delivery delays and accept no liability for any delay or failure to deliver the products within estimated timescales.

We will not have any responsibility or liability for the non-delivery of any products unless either:

a) all of the products charged for are not delivered, or
b) you give us full details of the shortages within 3 working days of the part delivery.

Our total liability to you for the non-delivery of any products is limited to delivering the products to you within 10 days of you telling us about the non-delivery or, at our option, crediting your account with the value of the products not delivered plus the delivery charge. We reserve the right to substitute a product of equal or higher value in the event of supply difficulties.

If the buyer fails to accept delivery of the goods at a time when they are due to be delivered, a re-delivery charge may be applicable and charged to the buyer.

Claims for non-delivery must be given in writing to us within 28 days of order or notification of despatch of the goods.

Tax Charges

All prices exclude VAT charged at 5294095 subject to change in taxation.

Credit Card Security

Credit and debit card payments taken via our tele-sales service and online will be processed through Paypal.

When you visit our websites you will be taked to our checkout page with your shopping basket. This generates a summary description of the purchase that is then sent to PayPal for payment processing.

The transaction will be dealt with by Paypal's secure server where you will be able to choose your payment method and enter your payment details.

If the transaction is successful, you will receive confirmation by email.

Paypal will identify any potential problems with the payment.

For example in cases where the address the card is registered to does not match the billing address provided on the order. In such cases you will receive a "suspected fraud" email from us. We will then investigate the order further to confirm it's validity or otherwise before accepting the payment from Paypal.

Throughout the process Paypal ensure that your purchase details are secure and encrypted using complex logarithm methods.
