|Making A Purchase|
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
The list of credit and debit cards we accept is shown on the bottom of the home page and includes both Visa and MasterCard. If you do not wish to pay online, you may send your card information via phone, fax or by post.
If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.

We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. If you are a registered account customer, payment shall be made in full at the end of the month following the date of invoice. We make revoke credit if you fail to make payment when due. If payment is not made when due, interest is payable at the rate of 3% over HSBC's prevailing base rate on the amount outstanding from the due date of payment until receipt by us on the full amount (including any accrued interest), whether before or after judgement, together with any reasonable legal or other recovery costs.
We may suspend further supply or delivery, or terminate our contract if you are in breach of an obligation hereunder or you become unable to pay your debts when they fall due.
|Shipping And Handling|
Standard shipping on all orders is £3.00, unless otherwise stated on the website.
Shipping charges may be levied where the customer requires special arrangements such as next day delivery. Any such charges will be agreed with the customer before the charges are made.
We deliver your order right away. Stock items will normally be shipped the same business day (for orders received before 12.00 p.m.) or the next day for orders received after 12.00 p.m. Items will be sent at our discretion via first class Royal Mail Parcel Post or courier service for UK deliveries.
You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.
You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
For orders made from the UK or the European Union the current UK VAT rate is added.
|Credit Card Security|
Food Safety Direct do not receive any details of credit or debit card details. When using cards to purchase goods off the website the shopper is redirected to WorldPay's secure server where they are presented with a series of payment pages, enabling them to choose their payment method and enter their payment details.
WorldPay forwards the transaction details to the card issuer for authentication. The issuer returns an authorised or declined response to WorldPay and a payment response page is then displayed to the shopper.
If the transaction was successful, WorldPay will send the shopper and the merchant a confirmation email, confirming the transaction details

Thermometer Superstore do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.
You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 7 working days for a full refund, including the cost of delivery. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.
Any goods returned should be in saleable condition.
These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.
None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
On cancellation, you must return the goods to us at your cost, unless the goods are being returned because they are faulty, incorrect goods or because of unsuitable substitution by us, in which case we will meet the cost of return but we ask that you allow us to nominate the carrier.
To return an item:
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org quoting your order reference number and stating the reason for return. We will then issue an authorisation code. Items will not be refunded or replaced without an authorisation code.
Return the goods in their original condition, including packaging and obtain proof of return from the carrier.
We will then despatch a replacement or process a refund once your returns are received.
