  Good fridge or freezer thermometer  I purchased this thermometer because my new fridge did not have a "Too Warm" indicator. The red column is fairly easy to see if viewed from directly in front. However, in freezers without frost-free technology ice film tends to build up on the glass. This is easy to rub off with a finger.   MB - London
