The 2000 series hand-held digital thermometers range from simple on, off and hold versions to instruments with advanced measurement and datalogging functions which can accept a wide variety of sensor types.
The 2100 series can be considered as an evolutionary advance on the 2000 series thermometers. They possess rugged ergonomic, waterproof construction, Lumberg connector and are specifically designed to meet the harsh conditions of today's food industry. For example the 2100 series includes a new food safe design keypad which is designed to make cleaning the thermometer easier by eliminating potential food traps. The casing has been constructed from toughened plastics to increase durability. The seam-free design, created using ultrasonic welding, reduces the risk of potential dirt/food traps and cross contamination. It also eliminates the need for an additional protective boot. It has an instant display reading and can used both T Type Thermocouple and Thermistor sensor types. When used in conjunction with Thermistor and Thermocouple probes, the reading accuracy complies with those specified in the Food Temperature control Regulations.
Another feature of the Digitron range is the incorporation of new antimicrobial technology which is designed to inhibit the growth of pathogenic microorganisms, capable of causing illness and disease.
A favourite of the Digitron range is the FM25 wireless fridge freezer thermometer. Unlike most conventional fridge thermometers the FM25 uses wireless technology which lets the user see what the temperature is inside the fridge and freezer without having to open the doors.
Temperatures from the two RF sensors positioned inside the fridge and freezer transmit wirelessly to a base station positioned outside the refrigerator. Audible and visual alarms send out warnings when the temperature exceeds pre-set maximum and minimums.
